I love to experiment.

After premature liberation from formal schooling (a collection of experiences some people call “education”), I recruited foreign labour in the Philippines and Thailand, designed infrared saunas in China, sold light industrial truck trailers (briefly), consulted with SMEs to reach international markets from Saskatchewan, and represented Canada on Economic Missions to China, Singapore, Malaysia, the APEC summit in Chile and the WTO meetings in Hong Kong.

Previously, I planted trees in northern British Colombia, worked on the sanitation crew at a meat processing plant, delivered breaking news to residents of small-town Saskatchewan, and cut plenty of grass.

I’m casually interested in almost everything, but especially sociology, psychology, design, writing, human-computer interaction, and programming.

For money, I design and build things on the internet.

As an adult, I’ve been influenced by living in Guatemala, China, Argentina, and Colombia. I spent most of my childhood in small-town Saskatchewan, with the exception of one year here, when I was five years old.
